Taylor Helps Build a Home, Hope, and Community

Taylor continued its commitment to the local community by joining the Flower City Habitat for Humanity for a day on Thursday at their 116 Whitney Street home site in the City of Rochester. Employees, ranging in all skill levels, spent the day slinging hammers and yielding saws to frame the 3-bedroom, 1-bath home in the Jay-Orchard Street Area Neighborhood (J.O.S.A.N.A.).

“Flower City Habitat for Humanity continues to help transform the Rochester community by mobilizing volunteers, partnering with families, and encouraging local contributors to improve our neighborhoods,” said Taylor CEO, Jim Taylor. “We are proud to be part of this project site, and are grateful to the numerous volunteers in our community who help build these homes for local families in need.”

Flower City Habitat for Humanity is a non-denominational Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard and poverty housing in Rochester, NY. Since 1984, FCHH has built or renovated 190 homes, and is one of the largest Habitat affiliates in the northeastern US. They partner with low-income families to make home ownership possible.
