Taylor Breaks Ground for Courtyard by Marriott East-End Hotel

Regional General Contractor and Private Development Team Completing New Contemporary Four-Story Hotel in the City of Rochester

TAYLOR, a leading regional commercial General Contractor, with offices in Rochester, Buffalo and Ithaca, New York, has been awarded the contract for construction of the new Courtyard by Marriott east-end hotel. TAYLOR is joining a partnership with local developers and Rochester-based hotel management company Essex Hotel Management, for development and management of the new 91,000-square-foot, 126 room hotel located at 390 East Avenue adjacent and behind City Grill, replacing the East Avenue Inn & Suites. Construction work is currently underway, with completion expected in the fall of 2020.

The Courtyard by Marriott at East Avenue and Alexander Street, features a 91,717-square-foot, 126 room hotel with 35 below grade parking spaces and 141 surface parking spaces. Designed by Silvestri Architects, the new hotel in the heart of the City of Rochester, will be modern in both design and its amenities, replacing the aging East Avenue Inn & Suites. It features a state-of-the-art business center, 24-hour fitness center, pool, and everything else you need to be productive, unwind, and move forward.
