Taylor, Passero, Wegmans Go Over the Edge for Urban Scouting

Geoffrey Cook, Charlotte Cook, Yolanda Wang, Tim Dollinger, Kamillah Ramos, Caleb Ducharme, Rappel During the 15th Annual “21 Stories for Scouts” Event at Historic Kodak Tower in the City of Rochester

Rochester, N.Y., May 23, 2024 – As part of the 15th Annual Seneca Waterways Council “21 Stories for Scouts” rappelling event, Geoffrey Cook, Charlotte Cook, Yolanda Wang, Tim Dollinger, Kamillah Ramos, and Caleb Ducharme accepted the challenge on Friday, March 17^th to defy gravity by rappelling around 21 stories down the historic Kodak Tower in downtown Rochester to support Seneca Waterways Council Urban Scouting programs.

“This is a unique fundraising event I have been proud to be a part of for almost a decade, as both a participant and committee member, and this year was able to further enhance the memories by rappelling with my daughter and current Scout, “ says Geoffrey Cook, Director of Marketing and Business Development for TAYLOR. “Having personally obtained the rank of Eagle Scout, I have always attributed many of my greatest achievements, outdoor experiences, character/leadership development, and friendships to Scouting. Supporting the Urban Scouting programs provides a significant impact on outreach programs for youth in underserved, typically urban, neighborhoods in our community giving those youth the same opportunities I had to participate in Scouting’s character and leadership development programs…and most of all fun and engaging activities that help them thrive!”

Five out of the six participants enjoyed supporting this event for the first time (Geoff’s sixth), while TAYLOR as a company has supported it since 2012. Joining together for one common goal on the Rochester skyline were Taylor representatives: Geoffrey Cook, Director of Marketing & Business Development; and Yolanda Wang, PM Assistant for Greenleaf Builders. Passero Associates representatives: Kamillah Ramos, Project Architect, and Caleb Ducharme, Structural Project Engineer. Wegmans representative: Tim Dollinger, Real Estate Manager. In addition to TEAM TAYLOR, more than 75 local business leaders and scout supporters took advantage of this unique fundraising event. Donations go directly toward underwriting outreach programs for urban youth in the City of Rochester, including over 40+ after-school programs and summer camp experiences. The Seneca Waterways Council, Boy Scouts of America serves nearly 11,000 young people each year with leadership and character development programs that change lives and help prepare young people for life.
